  • Alan Kitching’s Typography Workshop
About a month ago I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days at Alan Kitching’s Letterpress workshop. It was a day of getting down and dirty with the fundamentals of typography taught by the legend himself. It took days to wash the ink from under my fingernails but it was worth it. The task was to interpret a word from ‘The Printers Term’s’ by Rudolf Hostettler using equipment in the studio. It was refreshing to step away from the computer to explore an idea through the composition of type and then execute it in the form of a poster the analogue way. Thank you to Alan, Ross and Jon for an excellent day.
